My truck hates me…
Seriously!
Last night it didn’t want to start…for no reason. After a few minutes it did start…for no reason. It was doing that last winter, but I thought a new battery would solve that. Apparently not.
Also last night, I was driving along and all of sudden everything fogged up. I couldn’t see anything. I had at least one wheel in the ditch, then I overcorrected, started sliding while driving up the hill which is treacherous enough as it is.
Maybe I should ditch it and get a Toyota FJ. Yeah?

I’m becoming such a girl…
and it is all Jo and Maha’s fault.
Here is my new vase with the flowers I bought to go in it.

For you Jack - Cookie Recipe
Here is the recipe for Chewy Brownie Cookies. I did win a prize for them at the Bake Sale.
I don’t have a picture, because I already took them to work and they were inhaled. But this is the one from the site.

Chewy Brownie Cookies
Ingredients
2/3 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/3 cup baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chooped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Directions
In a large mixing bowl, cream shortening, sugar, water and vanilla.
Beat in eggs.
Combine flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture and beat just until blended.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts if desired. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 in apart on ungreased baking sheets,
Bake at 375 degress F for 7-9 minutes; do not overbake.
Cool 2 minutes before moving to wire racks.
The recipe is supposed to yield 18 cookies, but I have way more than that and I had big cookies as well.
Enjoy!!
Frankenstein
So, Jo, Mike and I have season tickets for the Keyano Theatre. Last night was Frankenstein. This play was done by a traveling company, not the keyano actors. It was really good. I didn’t really know the whole story. It was done very modern, they were all wearing white, but it wasn’t just white. It was kind of textured, almost paper looking. Weird. and it was almost a musical…But it was excellent.
Before that Mike, Christian and Stella and I went out to Dinner at Moxie’s. Good times.
After, Jo and I went up to Paddy’s to meet up with Clay, Buddy, Ian and Jay. Also good times, they have a guy playing there who was very good. Just him and his guitar and apparently he was playing it upside down.
Tonight I am going over to Terri and Rob’s for our third dinner. I am so excited. She is such a good cook, and of course the theme is Italian. :-) It is going to be so good!!!
