Who says you can’t go home?

I am heading home this weekend for a vacay!  I am excited, I can’t wait to see everyone, and go to the races,  and go to Nickleback and yeah..good times.

The bad news is my washing machine decided to throw a fit on my again.  My pump likes to get clogged. Bob has fixed it for me twice, and I clearly should have been paying more attention to what he was doing.  Luckily Crystal and Bob were able to talk me through it.  But so much for an early night…or an early morning now. haha.

I am quite proud of myself for fixing it though, and then I had to clean up the flood I caused.  Next time maybe I will do it as a maintenance step instead of an emergency trick.   BUt now at least I will have clean clothes for the trip.

Calgary Weekend.

I am not calling it Stampede weekend, because we didn’t really stampede.  We shopped, saw Sandra, went to a concert, got run over (more on that later), shopped some more and came home. :-)

Yes, during the small time amount of time we did spend at the Stampede I managed to get my foot run over by an Electric wheelchair. I really don’t think it was my fault, I was just walking along and the guy came from behind me.  It was not the guy in the chair steering it was his companion.  He never noticed.   I survived, with only a swollen foot. :-)

Reba!!

Reba was awesome.  It was a great concert. |
Gil Grand opened for her, and he was good.
Reba had way less (one) costume changes than last time I saw her, but the show was just as entertaining.
She is an entertainer. :-)  She gives attitude when she is singing lippy songs, like Why Haven’t I heard from you? and she gets sad when she sings And Still…

And I think she takes nothing for granted, because as she said…I have been doing this for 30 years and you all still made me cry.  You have no idea what it is like to be up here and see this and here this.

Reba Rocks.  This is the only concert that I think I have seen every single person standing up.  There is usually the few party poopers who just sit there, but not this time.

The cutest part was Crystal who had to give me the camera when Reba was coming out because she was getting too shaky.  Love it!

Stuff

I am heading to Calgary this weekend, for some Shopping, some Stampedeing and some Rebaing….Crystal and I are going to have a blast!

Saw Knocked Up last week…because Transformers was sold out.  Wasn’t feeling it.  What did you think Mom?

Been reading lots for the MBA course, I want to have all the reading done, and my notes made by the time I go to New York.  I made up a schedule and so far I am on track. :-)

Vested Interest

Had to show off my new vest.  I swear I am not totally vain. I just want you guys who don’t get to see me, to get to see my stylin’ new clothes. haha.  It worked.  Jack loved the last outfit.
Yes, it is blurry again…apparently because there is not enough light…and maybe I am a little shaky. :p

It’s Official

I was accepted into the MBA program.  There goes my money and my time for the next three years.
Already I have a textbook and a ton of articles to read before the end of August and am stressing about the assignments that will be due in the course.

Did I mention I am gone half of August and some of July….guess I am starting now. I was so looking forward to having the summer off.

This better be worth it.
