New Kids on the Block

So I met Jo in Toronto for the weekend, and since my new trend is destination
concerts/shows…we went to see New Kids on the Block…don’t judge…
I still love them.
It was a really good concert and I was not nearly the most obsessed girl there.

Here is a clip of my new favourite song from them.  This wasn’t at our concert
but the best I could find.

Here are some pics from my phone and/or Jo’s phone…I didn’t want to take my camera as I spend
too much time trying to get good pics instead of enjoying the show.

I love this shirt and I had to stand in a mob of girls to get it, no, not girls…women and fight my way to the front.  And they were crazy.
And I nearly passed out from the heat…

Jo, bustin’ a move…

I just like this pic…

Us

There was a ton of people, I think the Air Canada Centre holds 20,000 and every single one of them was up and dancing and singing the whole time.

This was when they came down to the stage in the middle as in the above clip.  My favourite, Jonathan!!

Weekend.

Happy Birthday to Kallee!!!

I had a good weekend.  Friday night went out to dinner with Crystal at Fuji’s where I ate a ton of sushi, and took a ton home…. hehe.
Saturday, hand washed my truck at Crystal’s…reconfirmed that I am never buying a black vehicle again.  Saturday night, went to the Fur Ball (SPCA fundraiser) and a party at Lisa and Clark’s where I had a blast.  I love fire pits!
Today, talked to Kalle, Ren, and Jack.  Went to brunch, the airport, and the mall.  Watched Definitley, Maybe.  Which was cute.

Goodbye Love…

Today is the final show of RENT on Broadway.   I was lucky enough to see it twice on Broadway, once with Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal, the original Mark and Roger.

Rent is the ground-breaking musical phenomenon that truly changed Broadway
forever and touched millions. Its breathtaking score and inspirational story have
defined an entire generation. And now, this musical theater landmark is coming to
the end of its journey. After twelve amazing years at Broadway’s Nederlander Theatre,
Rent—the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon—will play its
final performance September 7th. There’s “No Day But Today” to celebrate Rent one l
ast time with someone you love.

Jonathan Larson’s rock musical is the joyous, breathtaking and inspiring story of a
group of New York City East Village artists struggling to find their voices and find
love in today’s tough times. Based on Giacomo Puccini’s classic 1896 opera,
La Boheme, Rent boasts a talented and hot young cast singing some of Broadway’s
most powerful songs, broaching controversial themes like homelessness, AIDS and
drug addiction with compassion, and thrilling audiences of all ages with its moving tale
of hopes and dreams.

The show burst upon the theater scene after its creator, Larson, died suddenly on the
eve of the show’s first performance off-Broadway at New York Theatre Workshop in
January 1996. The show then opened to raves on Broadway, winning that year’s Tony
Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. New York Times critic Ben
Brantley raved that Rent “shimmers with hope for the future of the American musical.”

Shooting the .22

Bob shooting the .22

Crystal shooting the .45, she was not a big fan of the shells flying at her head.

Crystal again.

Me shooting the .45, bit of a kick to it. One of the shells went down my jacket, hence the shake-out.

Bob is so talented…
